With the ability to handle a 60 watt bulb, this lamp can brighten a room, or for a more relaxed setting, use a lower wattage bulb. Our Edo Period Lamp features a solid wood frame design with an elegant criss-cross pattern. The top of the lamp distinguishes itself as a piece from the Edo period in Japanese history–circa 1603-1868. Standing at 17 inches high, this remarkable Japanese lamp can be placed on the floor and even a table or stand.

Includes UL approved electrical components – socket and switch. 25 to 60 watt bulb is recommended.

I really like the two Edo Period lamps. I also purchased the Thai Silk bed spread and it is just like the description and it is just plain beautiful.
