Below the locks are two hinges for pulling the doors open. Each one has a pair of lion-foo dog designs over it. This was quite common on Asian doors too, as they believed lions or foo dogs offered some form of protection. Each series of doors is ordained with beautiful flowers. One door shows white flowers and the other darker, perhaps one to show summer and the other a colder season.
