Here we see a more approachable side. His cheeks and gently cleft chin appear soft. His serene is expression is calm but not other-wordly. Some classic features of Buddha depictions remain. The elaborate crown he wears is unusual as Buddhist depictions normally show him as either bald or with curling hair.
