One of our most unique Buddha statues, this marvelous piece is finished in a two-tone design of gold and maroon. The use of two contrasting colors helps to excentuate the portly belly, big smile and bald head of this Chinese Buddha. This Buddha has his belongings slung over his right shoulder and is wearing the customary robes of a mendicant monk. The Chinese believe the figure of a fat smiling Buddha to be extremely good luck. Place this resplendent resin statue on your desk, shelf or table for great decoration and positive karma.

Customer Feedback: |
Although this isn't really the Buddha, but a historical Buddhist monk, Budai or Hotei in Japenese, it is often sold as the happy 'Buddha' or traveling 'Buddha' and is a symbol to remind of of the joy of a contemplative life. I especially liked the two color one here and it has a place of honor in my mediation room.
