Oriental-Decor.com Exhibits at the International Casual Furniture Show in Chicago

From September 13 to September 16, Oriental-Decor.com took the opportunity to exhibit its hand-painted patio umbrellas at the International Casual Furniture show in downtown Chicago. The event is held every year in September at the Merchandise Mart, where hundreds of companies from around the world exhibit their patio furniture, patio decor and patio umbrellas.

CEO Ted Rinquest commented on what sets his company apart from the crowd: "Individuality is in, in a big way. We are uniquely positioned to offer affordable, hand-painted products that speak directly to this huge and growing market."

The 2006 show was the first international show ever for Oriental-Decor.com. Leading with their classic line of 7-foot round hand-painted patio umbrellas in over a dozen beautiful designs, they were sure to be noticed. Just before the show, Oriental-Decor.com launched two new lines of umbrellas, which were also on display at the show. The new lines consist of 9-foot octagonal patio umbrellas and 9-foot square patio umbrellas. The shades of these larger patio umbrellas are hand-painted on both the top and bottom, making for a striking display.

According to Terry W. Lail, the publisher of Casual Living magazine, Oriental-Decor.com's patio umbrellas were the first of their kind ever to be seen exhibited in the show's history. "Our patio umbrellas are unlike anything people have ever seen. They're practical furnishings and at the same time works of masterfully crafted art. It has been my vision for the past three years to show them to the world so people can enjoy their beauty and artistry. It's a thrill to finally be able to do that." said Chad Walner, president of Oriental-Decor.com.

According to Mr. Walner, the show proved fruitful and the company intends to return in 2007. "I made a lot of contacts at the show and many people showed interest in the umbrellas, both 7 and 9 foot designs. We're heading into winter, but next spring is patio season and we expect it to be our biggest year ever for umbrella sales." Mr. Walner said that he intends to add the new lines of 9-foot patio umbrellas to Oriental-Decor.com in early October, while 7-foot designs are currently available. Customers will be able to purchase these umbrellas directly from the Oriental-Decor.com website.
